Best Chinese Chicken Salad EVER!
I must the nice lady who used to bring the food to your table. She was very sweet and part of the experience. The other employee have always been kinda meh. Not welcoming, but not rude. Just there. Now that it is self check, I guess who cares. The salad and its dressing.... Still the bomb.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Jan 12, 2017Previous reviewChinese chicken salad is the best in LA. Everything fresh, but the dressing is what knocks it out of the park.
Sides are OK. Cashier staff seems a bit indifferent, but not horrible. Runners will take nice care of you. - Gio W.Venice, CA1533511Jan 6, 2024
The ingredients are always fresh. The Chinese chicken salad is a go to. The service is fast and the establishment is clean.

Went back AGAIN today... this time beef and broccoli... yum and excellent! In my neighborhood and just delicious offerings!
Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Jul 3, 2023Previous reviewWell, dropped by here like I promised in a previous review. Bought 6 omg sesame wings, dumplings, chinese chicken salad, a bottle of their insanely delicious sesame dressing, meatballs too! What else can I add? The people there are fantastic and so friendly, the restaurant is clean and inviting. This area of Westwood blvd has so many wonderful eateries and options!
Support your local community restaurants. This area is a 10 minute drive through my community to get there and it's just lovely. And Apple Pan is around the corner. The Chinese chicken salad is huge, and the other dishes mentioned above were devoured by the 4 of us indulging at our kitchen table and we have leftovers!!! Great value and and generous portions !Jun 17, 2023Previous reviewI know it looks like I 5 star every review I write... not completely true, however, I speak my truth always ... am I partial to my locally owned businesses? Yes, but not for the obvious reasons one might assume. The Pandemic affected so many small businesses and I go out of my way to patronize these businesses and eat what they proffer. I do not get free meals nor anything for giving a good review other than a thank you which is right here on my YELP profile. Glad I got this off my chest!
Now, the people here were so lovely and kind... their sesame baked chicken wings are delicious... wish it came with sauce but as an amateur chef, it was easy to improvise... I had delicious dumplings and spring rolls too. But the wings knocked my socks off ... I will definitely return ( it's literally 11 minutes max from my home)... I am on a mission to eat meals close by, BUT, I also go to other restaurants in the valley and Glendale, Pasadena, and all over Los Angeles...
I am a lunch person almost 100% of the time... I cook suppers at home for my family.
Summing it up, Feast from the East is easy on your wallet and delightful to enjoy!
PS I bought my dishes as "takeout "... that's where I made my own dipping sauces... I sat outside on my patio in the SUNSHINE!!! It's been quite some time since we had a sunshiny day!!! - Dec 8, 2023
Let me just say that I don't really do salads but Feast From the East is one of two places I'll order salads. They have the best Chinese Chicken Salad! Something about that sesame dressing and wonton crisps that make it perfect. They also have wings that are super delicious too. I've purchased the dressing and wonton crisps separately so I can enjoy at home. Honestly getting hungry thinking about their salad. It's located on Westwood and I believe is a mom and pop small business. Go support them -- they're super nice and have been in business for 40 years! I always get my order quickly.

I have been going there for 30+ years and it is very consistent.
The signature chicken salad is tasty, fresh, well-balanced, filling and healthy.
Always ask for extra dressing.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jose D.Los Angeles, CA14888119Aug 12, 2023
Was working in the area and to be honest I was walking to a different restaurant but saw this place was just opened and empty , with a short time to grab grub I detoured into FFTE. I had an order of 6 sesame wings and a teriyaki plate. The teriyaki chicken sauce was great but the chicken breast was thinly sliced and needed a strong quick hit with some oil to crisp out the edges and have a little texture. Now the sesame wings were on point and I wish I would have got another 6 wings with that teriyaki sauce. Not sure next time I'll be in the area again but when I am I'll be back to try those teriyaki wings I just imaginated.

I've been a Feast From The East patron for decades. They have THE best Chinese Chicken Salads EVER. Romaine lettuce, shredded chicken (which, on occasion, is a little tough), sesame seeds, sliced almonds, onions (not for me), fried wonton strips (I can eat them by themselves) and the best Asian sesame dressing ever - sweet and savory combined.
Their sesame fried chicken drummettes have a kind of glaze on them and sesame seeds. They are also delicious. They had the best fried beef wontons, but they discontinued them. (Please bring them back!)
I love everything about FFTE except the parking. The last time I went to the physical location, I was met by a rude employee who I am unfamiliar with. I was unaware of the change in their operating hours. I last ordered via a delivery service app and fell in love all over again.
FFTE is, hands down, one of the best restaurants in L.A. Always and forever.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Randal D.Los Angeles, CA01023Dec 16, 2023
Customer since the mid 80's.
That being said reveals we are fans.
However, California State Board regulations are clearly not being followed as there was a fine dark, straight 6 +" long piece of hair in a carton of rice. Didn't see it as it was woven in the rice. Took a bite of rice and pulled a long hair out of my mouth. Clearly, this person made/packed the box of rice. Disgusting! And no, I don't have long hair. Not even close to being that long!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Justin R.West Hollywood, CA04587Dec 21, 2023
A friend highly recommended this restaurant so I went for lunch today. Location was easy to find & customers parked at 1 hour parking meters along Westwood Blvd. We ordered most popular menu items which were their Chinese Chicken Salad Medium size & 12 pieces of the Sesame Chicken Wings & mini Drumsticks. I ordered also the Orange Chicken as it is one of my favorite dish. The food was prepared pretty fast & we didn't have to wait long. They had many To Go orders & dining in area. My favorite was the Sesame Chicken as it was tender & flavorful. I guess their Sesame salad dressing is quite popular as they have it bottled for purchase. Sugar-Free dressing version are available as well. I would definitely come back again when I am in the Westwood area.

First, it's home to the delicious Asian Sesame Dressing. Available for purchase too!
Second, the WINGS, original Chinese Chicken Salad, Chicken Soup is YUM and filling too.
Great location on LA's Westside. Perfect location to UCLA and surrounding area.
Psssst... you can purchase dressing at Costco and other supermarkets too. Try it. You'll YUM it!Helpful 36Thanks 0Love this 39Oh no 0
